St Arnaud arts and culture fans will have the chance to catch top quality creativity close to home in 2026, thanks to the latest round of grants to help regional communities stage more live shows in local venues.

Member for Ripon Martha Haylett today announced a $7474 grant to the St Arnaud Arts Council through the latest round of the Allan Labor Government’s Small Regional Presenters program, which provides grants to community groups and not-for-profit organisations to help them present shows in their area.

The St Arnaud Arts Council is one of 13 Victorian community groups and not-for-profit organisations to receive support in this round. The grant will enable them to host actor/ comedian Damien Callinan for a three-day residency to gather social stories about the local Band Hall – culminating in a special evening not to be missed.

The Small Regional Presenters program is a Victorian Government initiative delivered by Regional Arts Victoria.

Along with attracting top quality artists to regional venues, the program helps to build local skills and grow talent in regional locations.
