The Carroll Labor Government has delivered $1 million in pedestrian safety upgrades for the growing community of Miners Rest.

A new pedestrian-operated signal crossing has just opened on Howe Street (Ballarat-Maryborough Road), between the intersections of Derby View and Caviar Court.

This upgrade provides a safer road crossing for those attending Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten.

A new, safer speed limit of 60km/h has been implemented on Howe Street, from the Western Freeway interchange to the current 60km/h zone

Street lighting has also been upgraded and will be switched on in the coming months.

Labor is delivering the infrastructure Victoria needs, while Jess Wilson's Liberal-One Nation Coalition are planning $40 billion in cuts.
